works like a champ!
The extenders work just as advertised. They attach in seconds and raise the bed so getting in and out require almost no effort at all! Adjust them to what you think your desired height is before attaching, then just tweak a bit to get the exact height you want. -
not sturdy enough
The concept of these is great, just wish they were sturdier. When fully extended they simply made the bed way too wobbly. Even on lowest setting the bed still shook too much and kept me from getting a good night's sleep. Had to return them.

Wood will not give the strength you need to copy this. If you used 2X4 studs it would be much bigger and beefier than the metal angle stock in the pic. Also $100 for this frame is way too much. Troll craigslist for a spare frame someone has.

Otherwise, the delivery and setup went smoothly, taking only about 20 minutes to haul the thing to our 2nd story bedroom and getting it turned on.
