Revolutionizing wheat
GLASGOW STATION- When George Nesbitt was unable to sell upwards of 700 tonnes of his wheat because of a high fusarium level, he didn’t just relegate his product to become feed wheat, he decided to invent a machine that would scrub the fusarium and bring the level down.
Nesbitt, who owns Nesbitt Aggregate, a gravel company that specializes in colored stone between Arnprior and Renfrew, drew on his background to come up with the concept for the machine. "I farmed a bit of wheat, but mostly focus on gravel. We had come up with a gravel scrubber because people wanted smoother stone. I took that idea and thought it might apply to wheat," said Nesbitt.
In December of 2009, he began working on the idea. He said that he never accounted for all of the hours that he put into building it, but the finished product was done around the fall of 2010. "We would build a part then have to take it apart and modify it," he said.

It is 30 to 40 feet long and rests on a flat-bed trailer chassis. The machine is adjustable and separates the lighter fusarium from the heavy. It creates three levels: junk, medium and high. The operator can then take as much or as little of the junk
