Healthcare is a key governmental priority in Ireland. Expenditure has annually
exceeded the rate of inflation and currently totals 25% of total government
spending (increasing from €3.7 billion in 1997 to over €14 billion in 2007). This level of investment is set to deliver significant progress for patient care across a wide range of key areas. Overall the Irish government is making significant changes:

• Total patient admissions to hospitals currently exceed 1 million.
• Waiting times for operations have dramatically reduced.
• Infant mortality has fallen significantly.
• Breast screening has been introduced.
• Preparations are underway for cervical screening.
• Nearly 1500 additional acute hospital beds have been introduced since 1997.

With the establishment of the Health Service Executive (HSE) in 2005, the Irish
Government began the largest programme of change ever in the Irish public
health service. In excess of 100,000 staff are employed in meeting Ireland's
responsibilities for health and social care needs. The result has signalled a new
era in Irish healthcare.

Benefits of Exhibiting

Healthcare Ireland Conference and Exhibition gives you a unique opportunity to meet and network with all those responsible for creating healthcare environments and delivering the clinical services at one event.

Healthcare Ireland's unique combination of international exhibition area combined with a focused educational programme delivered by leading industry associations, means that you have the opportunity to network and sell to an audience of active and buyers, specifiers and influencers responsible for securing products and services throughout Ireland.

Attendees include
Facilities: Those involved and responsible for the design, build, renovation, and maintenance of the facilities at which health services are offered, (i.e. Hospitals (public and private), Walk-in Centres, Mental Health Institutions, Prisons, General Practices, etc.)

Job titles: CEO's, HSE Managers/Directors, Board Members, Hospital Managers, Purchasing Managers, Department Heads, Facilities Managers, Architects/Designers, Engineers.

Clinical: Those involved in and responsible for recommending, specifying and purchasing of clinical products, services and practices, particularly those used in Hospitals, large walk-in centres, and larger practices. (i.e. Department Heads, Nurses, Board Members, etc.) However, until the event develops and becomes established its ability to attract consultants & surgeons would be unrealistic.

Job titles: CEO's, HSE Managers/Directors, Board Members, Department Heads,
Clinicians, Clinical Nurses, Midwives, Occupational Therapists.

Access to Key Markets

Medical Equipment, Supplies and Services - orthopaedic, renal analysis, dental, ophthalmic, cardiac, medical gases, radiotherapy, continence products and aids and appliances.
