Ireland is still spending 14 million euros on healthcare a year. The PFI programme is still going ahead, with three new hospital projects, each worth 250 million euros, due to start this year. The government is also investing in 200 new primary care centres over the next two years, and has plans for three medical laboratory facilities on green-field sites.
