There has been a fair amount of excitement surrounding the development of the 'Up' family of cars. Our first teasers - the Up Concept in 2007 at the Frankfurt Motor Show and later the Up Lite in Los Angeles - were radical design propositions with just as much in common with product design as traditional car design. Alas, like most projects in the highly cautious world of the motor industry, the final design has been diluted down into something that's more evolutionary than revolutionary.
This three-door car is the final product that will be on the shop floor by the spring. It will be followed by a number of variants including a five-door and an electric model by 2013, and later a GT Up, Cross Up, Buggy Up and Giugiaro-designed Azzura Up. Together they will form what VW is calling the 'Up family', a line-up that will be marketed around the world. Up-derived cars will also be rolled out by VW subsidiaries like SEAT and Skoda , and the company also hopes to market accessories, products and a long list of optional extras to eager buyers. Given the pressing needs for this kind of car in lucrative markets like India, China and Brazil, VW looks like it's onto a winner.

Intro
Mobility – it is only literally possible to realize what mobility stands for if your capacity to move around freely is degraded, then it takes on a whole different meaning. Having lived with a person who’s partially handicapped provides me with an insight into the kind of dilemmas that people with disabilities have to deal with. When you are fit enough and sure footed there is no real grasp with the limitations of not having extensive mobility of your person. Besides which no one is particularly concerned unless it has to do with them closely.
All of us take it entirely for granted when everything works as it should and we get on with living our lives concentrating on making money, raising a family, having a good time and other such typical everyday activities. In truth often we never even like to notice those who find themselves disabled and struggling because it makes us aware of our own vulnerability which reminds us of our mortality. Next time you see a person who’s in a wheel chair, recognize your own response to that individual, and be aware of how your family evade eye contact and carefully get out of the way. Folks that use wheelchairs very often say how people they speak to will talk to the carer and disregard them as if they’re stupid too deaf....

The advancements in technology have definitely improved our everyday way of living. One of the most helpful devices that have ever been invented is the mobility scooters . These vehicles are designed to assist people with mobility problems. Life style diseases and other debilitating conditions have affected the lives of many people. A lot of people are having problems with mobility hence affecting the quality of their daily life. It was Allan Thieme who invented the first model of this assistance vehicle. It was during the 1960′s that “Amigo”, the first ever mobility device was unveiled to the public. It was originally designed to help a person with multiple sclerosis to achieve mobility. Since then, mobility vehicles have been used by a lot of people with mobility disorders.
There are different types of mobility vehicles, the front wheel drive and the rear wheel drive. The front wheel drive is designed for indoor use. It can carry 250 pounds of weight. On the other hand, the rear wheel drive is designed for both indoor and outdoor use. It can carry a maximum weight of 350 pounds. Most mobility vehicles can be controlled through the use of the hands by pressing a switch or a control pad. The design of these mobility vehicles is somewhat different with the design of wheel chairs. The seat is usually situated over the rear wheels. For people who are looking for cheap scooters that are designed for disabled individuals, it would be best to determine the weight of the person who will be using the vehicle before choosing which model to buy. For heavier individuals, it is better to buy a rear wheel drive mobility vehicle.
