Not useful as a quick resource
The author of this book really knows his material! Unfortunately, this book seems a little too wordy for a reference guide. I am a Physical Therapist who works in nursing homes and I was unable to use this book as a easy resource when working with my patients. It reads almost like a textbook... -
Finally a book on the fundamentals of wheelchair design!
This is the first time I see a book of that caliber on wheelchair design. Not for the math timid, but a must have for the chair designer at any of the big houses, or for your physics inspired tinkerer. People might just learn physics on this specific type of vehicle.

The early-season nor’easter that took many area residents by surprise Saturday and early yesterday walloped portions of Mercer County, leaving behind extended road closures due to downed wires and trees, as well as prolonged power outages that left some still without power in below-freezing temperatures last night. It also caused car accidents aplenty during the brunt of the storm.
“Mercer County was certainly taking it on the chin from this storm,” said meteorologist Jim Poirier of the National Weather Service in Mt. Holly. “The snow amounts that we received were in the 4- to 7-inch range, but we did get reports of trees down and power outages.”
Locally, the Hopewell Township area seemed to be the hardest hit, with power outages encompassing nearly the entire township Saturday and residual outages for a large rural swath of the township lasting into last night.
